Good Day (Friday the 13th) & Tough Week

Family & Friends:

The title of this post says it all. Today, Friday the 13th, came with good news from Karen's reconstruction surgeon. She had two of four external, surgical fluid drains removed (other two come out next week), got the OK to take "a" shower, and the OK to sleep on her side (not just her back). Wahoo! Again, sometimes the simple things make the biggest difference.

It's been a tough week for Karen -- 7 days post surgery, but she is doing well and regaining her strength a day at a time. The learning is to go slow and not over-do it. Thanks again for all your warm wishes, posts, and cards ... and the yummy meals many of you helped to provide.

Enjoy Your Weekend,
Jeff & Karen

It's wonderful to hear that things are looking up!

I've been thinking of you and Jeff a lot but have not posted since I"m a bit unsure what to say. I've been praying for you and following the blogs. You're a strong positive person and that's what's needed to get through this. And a bit (lot) of humor always helps!

Love,
