A quick update ... Karen's 2nd reconstruction surgery was today, Friday 10/3/08, and went very well! This procedure was done to remove the temporary saline implant, and its fill-port, from the July '08 surgery in the right breast, and replace it with a more permanent silicone implant.
A big thanks to Dr. B. and a great surgical team at the UTC Surgery Center here in San Diego! Karen will rest and heal over the few and then expects to return to work. Stay tuned for Karen's next post. Thank you for your healing prayers and well wishes.
