Happy, Healthy and Freddie Free!

I'm sorry but hospital food just sucks...it doesn't have to be that way. There's an opportunity here for someone in the food industry -- grab hold, go forth and change the bureaucracy! Rest, some exercise and giving yourself good nutrition is part of the foundation of good healing after major surgery - any surgery for that matter. One of the reasons I would recommend to anyone to get out of the hospital as soon as you can -- really lousy, unhealthy food (bananas were good!). Leslie Wade made me some delicious Magic Mineral Broth www.onebiteatatime.com This is what gave me the heavenly nutrition my body needed to start repairing the tissue.
Freddie is now gone and I have no feelings of remorse whatsoever. In my surgeon's words "It was ugly." I want to thank again the nursing staff from my admittance pre op all the way through to when I was discharged...really good, best out of all three of my stays. AND that will be my last stay. We are now waiting on the final pathology report from the oncologist that should be available by end of this week or beginning of next. Leslie and CJ, I loved having you by my side in the hospital -- you brought reality to an unreal world. Made me laugh until you realized it hurt to laugh!
Oh yes, for someone else you know having surgery -- renting an electric bed has made so much of the difference this time in ease and healing -- not to mention that Jeff didn't have to get up every time I had to go to the bathroom:)
I have received many well wishes and caring gifts from many of you...healing is such a personal journey and I'm so glad you've been on the road so that I could stop along the way and sip a cup of tea with each of you.
And as always, my deepest gratitude and love to my husband...you are remarkable.

Love K
